Boston University School of Social Work Online Program Now Accepting Transfer Students

 New Policy Takes Effect Immediately

Boston University School of Social Work is pleased to announce the Master of Social Work Online Program will now enroll transfer students from other Council on Social Work Education accredited graduate programs.

Students currently in an accredited social work graduate program may apply to transfer up to half of the total 65 credits needed to earn the Master of Social Work degree at Boston University.

All transfer students must meet the school’s rigorous academic requirements. The Online Program at BU School of Social Work will accept a limited number of transfer students each year.

Boston University School of Social Work is ranked #12 in graduate social work programs by U.S News & World Report. The Online Program at Boston University School of Social Work offers a new generation of social workers the opportunity to earn their degree in either clinical or macro social work practice from a leading global research university. Applicants with an undergraduate degree in social work may apply to the Advanced Standing track.

The online MSW program is available for individuals living in most areas of the U.S., but is still awaiting full approval from a few select states. Be sure to research your state’s Board of Education and the social work licensing requirements as these change and differ from state to state.
